Bat Magic is a machine used for locating the optimum hitting location on any given bat, universally known as the “Sweet Spot”.
Given a proof of concept prototype, we were tasked with streamlining the design of the machine inside and out.
After re-engineering the machine, our model shop, CNC department, and 3D printing teams produced parts for the new internal mechanism.
Our designers incorporated the new mechanism into a consumer friendly housing. We generated several different aesthetic options that evoked traditional and professioinal baseball aethetics.
Our modelmakers brought the selected concept to life by CNC routing the body from flat wooden panels. Our painters mixed a custom color to match bespoke vinyl graphics that were then wrapped onto the model.
