Until recently, fluid-tight components could not be achieved with most additive manufacturing processes due to the high porosity of available materials. 3D printed prototypes required additional post-processing to achieve this property. Now we can effectively use Multi Jet Fusion PA12 to fill this gap.
With the intent to proof and test his concept for creating a permanent weight-bearing prosthetic socket using Multi Jet Fusion Technology, Michael Nunnery, a nationally board-certified prosthetist/orthotist and local innovator in prosthetics, chose Empire Group to facilitate its production.
On Friday, June 7th we opened the doors to our customers and welcomed many new faces to Empire Group’s Attleboro, MA facilities. This fantastic group of professionals gathered for a tour of our company and got a close-up view of the technology and manpower behind our exceptional product development services.
