Empire Group Open House & DfAM Workshop Was A Success

Event Recap: Empire Group Open House and DfAM Workshop with HP 3D Printing

On Friday, June 7th we opened the doors to our customers and welcomed many new faces to Empire Group’s Attleboro, MA facilities. This fantastic group of professionals gathered for a tour of our company and got a close-up view of the technology and manpower behind our exceptional product development services.

The excitement over our additive manufacturing capabilities and state-of-the-art 3D printers was palpable in our rapid prototyping department. This great group came ready with questions, and the HP and Empire Group team were there to provide the answers. The excitement spilled over to the Design for Additive Manufacturing Workshop at SkyRoc Brewery following our open house, where HP Applications Engineer, Justin Hopkins presented a deep-dive into the world of HP 3D Printing and their Multi Jet Fusion technology.

Our guests learned how to identify the right applications for additive manufacturing across their product lifecycle and received training on the fundamentals of effective design for HP’s MJF. This included a comprehensive review of design strategies for process optimization, material properties and behavior, new design paradigms of additive manufacturing and design for value maximization (process and cost).

The best part about hosting this event was watching people who have been in product development for years getting truly excited about additive manufacturing. It’s challenging them to expand their perspective and giving them the ability to push past traditional boundaries. Because of this event, they now see what we see - that MJF is a game-changer.
