who is jeremy mcdaniel?
A great thing about the Empire Group is that each department has unique, talented individuals from different backgrounds – who bring their experiences to work together as a team. The Industrial Design department is comprised of brilliant artists interested in sketching and modeling ideas that come to life.
Just ask Industrial Designer Jeremy McDaniel, who is known around the office for his long locks, his easy-going personality and his ability to evolve his creative concepts to real-life products. Interested in artistic disciplines since high school, Jeremy chose a path in design at the University of Cincinnati (UC) and pursued a career in Industrial Design.
Shipping up to boston
During his program at UC, Jeremy took advantage of the co-op program – participating in five different co-ops from Cincinnati, OH to Boston, MA and back to Toledo, OH. The program gave Jeremy experience in working with consultancies, architectural lighting design, and glass manufacturing. This diverse background allows him to bring a variety of ideas and skills to the table.
It was because of his co-op in Boston that Jeremy decided to move to the city post-graduation to work freelance, later finding himself at the Empire Group. While he has “…super hometown, Midwest pride,” Jeremy quickly started to assimilate with his New England location. His love for sports and beer made it an easy transition.
