The Empire Group's CNC Department adds new certifications and a brand new YCM NXV1020A 3 Axis CNC Mill
“It’s always exciting to bring a new machine in house” says Jason Enos, Founder and President of the Empire Group, “…especially when we have work lined up and ready to go as soon as we qualify the machine!”
Empire Group’s CNC department started as an internal resource to support the custom model shop. Over the past five to six years, the department has grown steadily and developed into a full business unit. As customers have discovered the quality workmanship and fast turnaround times offered by the Empire Group, they have explored the other disciplines in the company - like the CNC department.
As a result of the increase in demand of the CNC department, Empire Group has added both ISO 9001:2008 and ITAR certifications to ensure they are providing the highest quality of standards to its clients. These certifications show the company’s commitment and are an absolute requirement for military work.
“We can bring lead times down even more now,” says an excited Dan Palardy, General Manager of the Empire Group. “That’s what our customers rely on us for.”
The addition of the NXV1020 now brings us to five in-house Vertical Machining Centers. Along with the ISO 9001:2008 and ITAR certifications in place, we can increase our production and still maintain the high quality of standards our customers rely on.
